Nursery & Preschool

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our children's ministry is currently online only. Stay tuned for updates for our nursery & preschool programs when we return to in-person services.

Before the pandemic, childcare was provided for babies and toddlers during our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 a.m.

We ensured that all adult leaders had their Police Clearance. Each teen working in this area has been trained by St. John Ambulance and has received their Babysitting and Church Nursery Training. The childcare room is located off the east corridor of the church building (to the left as you enter the church through the main doors) and are right across from the women’s washroom. We were open on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. and  children were supervised until the end of the church service.

Our department is divided into three specific rooms – Infants, Toddlers and Preschool. Upon a parent's arrival to the Nursery Department, one of our dedicated volunteers would assist them in signing their child into one of our rooms, taking down any specific instructions you may have, and providing them with a number that will be used to page you from the sanctuary should the child require them during the service.

Nursery (Birth-2 years)

Toys and equipment specific to the needs of children from birth through the toddling stages are in ample supply. We maintain a 1:2 ratio policy in this room, with two volunteers available at all times.

All infants and children are given a number on the sign in & out screen. There is a notification screen in the Main Sanctuary to call parents by this number if your child is in need of you.

Preschool 2-4 Years Old

Our preschool program is structured to meet the needs of children between the ages of 2 and 4 years old.We strive to teach about the love of Jesus at their level of understanding. We strive to keep the same routine each Sunday to provide a sense of security and familiarity with us. While a simple Bible lesson is taught each week, time is also provided for play and the development of friendships.
