Serving In Ministry

In 1 Peter 4:10 we read, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” God's word is clear that He desires that we put our faith into action by serving. We want to thank you for expressing your desire to serve the Lord and His Church here at Banwell. Our goal is to create a healthy church environment that nurtures faith in Jesus Christ for everyone. As we walk with you on this journey of serving, please read the following information and respond to the questions below. Once we receive your application, a ministry leader will contact you and set up a time to meet.

Serving In Ministry Application

Steps towards serving with Banwell Community Church:


  • Step 1: Complete and submit this Serving In Ministry Application.

  • Step 2: Meet with the representative overseeing the ministry in which you wish to serve.

  • Step 3: Once the approval of our church leadership is given, you will be guided in serving.


Guidelines for those serving with Banwell Community Church:


  • Demonstrates personal faith in Jesus Christ and a consistent walk with Him.

  • Has regularly attended our worship services in the last six months.

  • Is in agreement with our Statement of Faith, Conduct & Lifestyle Policy and Church Constitution. To view these documents go to: www.banwellchurch.org/policies

  • Has reviewed our Plan to Protect policy and has obtained a current police check (if working with minors or vulnerable adults).

  • Some areas of serving will require church membership due to the level of accountability necessary in leading others and representing our church.

The ministry of Banwell Community Church is organized into the following six areas. Each area is supported by a committee and led by a chairperson who helps coordinate its work and oversee current needs. If you would like more information about any of these areas or would like to learn what is involved in a specific role, please contact the appropriate committee chairperson.

  • I will fulfill the responsibilities of my role and attend required meetings (or give sufficient notice when I am unable to fulfill my responsibilities or attend a meeting).
